Home Improvement Projects with an Articulating Ladder.
Home improvement projects require equipment that is easily adaptable and can help get most jobs done quickly. While there are many small home improvement jobs to do including fixing shutters, cleaning gutters and windows, many people do not have a ladder that is tall enough or short enough to fix minor problems around their homes. As a result, the home will depreciate in value and will not look as good as it should. Buying an articulating ladder will solve many of these problems.

Shop Smart
Quick Shopping tips:
• Organize your grocery list. • List categories in the order you find them in the grocery store. • Compare prices per unit on what you buy. • Buy cereal when it's on sale or spend less and buy in bags. • Choose store brands when possible, not name brands. • Buy some items, such as pet food, online, when it's less expensive. • Research planned purchasers online to compare prices. • Try to pick up the items from the refrigerator and freezer sections last.

Top 6 places to use decorative molding
Decorative moldings are architectural details installed as trim to enhance any décor and increase the value of your home.
1
Around or on a ceiling... Crown molding or cornice molding is a value adding detail where the wall and ceiling connect or with more formal ceiling medallions in corners.
2
Around or on a door... Dress up a flat door with molding installed to form panels or around the door.
3
Around a window... Another choice is to match the window casing to molding around the door for a coordinated look.
4
Along a wall... Install a horizontal chair rail to protect the wall from being damaged by everyday chair use. It divides the wall in two; the two sides can be handled differently, for example a wall paper mural on top, and complementary paint below rail.
5
Along a floor... Baseboard molding is applied where the wall and floor meet. It can be decorative while concealing a gap between the two surfaces.
6
Around a bookcase or fireplace... Adds drama and creates a focal point of interest to showcase treasures in either location.

Cost Buster Tip
Save on water usage. Fix running toilets or leaking faucets. A continuously running toilet can use more than 8,000 more gallons of water a year.
Install flow-restricting showerheads. A family of four can save 8,000 to 12,000 gallons of water. In this case, you not only save on the cost of the water, but also the cost of heating it.
You could save up to $400 per year on your water utility expenses.

Home Reminder
Safety check:
Check the gauges on all fire extinguishers and recharge or replace them, if necessary. Check fire escapes routes, door and window locks, and lighting around the outside of your house. Practice safety by having a family fire drill.
